M Star Cafe

A staple in the Chinatown community. I've been coming here for 15+ years and will continue to support the mom and pop restaurants. The food is great for the price and you'll be able to get simple all day dim sum here! I highly recommend coming here!! (the original Hong Kong style cafe in Chinatown).

Hong Kong style cafe. Humongous menu. Many choices even in style of noodles for the noodle soups. 13 people in group and tried many items. Best was Hong Kong milk tea. Had iced because it was a 100 degree day. Noodles with different dressings was good. Oven cooked Pork chop rice was good. Beef tendons was hard as a rock. Wonton noodles was very good. French toast is good. They have ham and beef sandwiches also. Too many to list.

I went with Portuguese chicken and I was not disappointed. The portion is a bit large though and with a lot of rice. But I was hungry and I probably finished it. Bring cash.

Authentic, old school feel. The food is actually really tasty. I love their toast, it is the best butter toast I have anywhere else. Must order is the satay beef instant noodle, the satay beef is amazing, I used to have it everyday for like half a year until I got really sick of it. The ham and egg macaroni taste very authentic. The congee and rice noodle combo is a must. The breakfast combo comes with a drink. Honestly, for a cheap meal $6, it is very affordable.

This place is incredibly cheap! Incredibly. I came here with my friend and both of us were surprised at the low prices. I ordered a Beef Fried Rice thinking it was for one person. It was for two. For the price of $8 for two people is amazing.They also have a HUGE variety of foods, so I'm sure anyone can find anything.The only thing I'd complain about is the atmosphere/service. Perhaps the values are different but it's not like your traditional food place. You have to make your presence known to the serversOther than that, it's definitely a 4/5
